Tip for Making Easter Puppy Chow
- Grab a Large Bowl: Mixing the cereal with the other ingredients (besides the powdered sugar) is easiest in a large bowl. Then, transfer to a large zipper bag for the final step of getting the mixture coated with powdered sugar.
- Plastic Bag: Yes, a large zipper bag is the easiest for mixing powdered sugar. It works well, and clean-up is a breeze.
- Big Batch: Make a big batch to eat, AND put it in your kid's Easter basket!
- Peanut Allergy? If you have a nut allergy, you can omit the peanut butter and increase the white chocolate to 12 ounces.
Recipe FAQs
You can store Bunny Chow in a sealed container on the counter for about a week. Thus making it a great make-ahead recipe for the holiday.

Do you have to store in the fridge? We’re having a bake sale in April at work, I would love to make this!!
Erin Henry
No, you don't need to store Bunny Chow in the fridge. It should be fine left at room temperature for your bake sale. Enjoy!
Martha
Can I swap out almond butter for the peanut butter?
Erin Henry
Hi Martha, we have not tested the recipe with almond butter, but it will likely work since it's usually the same consistency as peanut butter. Let us know how it goes!
Melissa
