How to make Christmas Kabobs
Before you start, turn up the Christmas music and make sure to wash and dry your fruit.
Here’s how you make the strawberry and marshmallow Santas (aka Grinch Fruit Kabobs):
Step 1 - PREP YOUR FRUIT
First, peel and then cut your banana into thin slices. Next, cut the ends off of your strawberries.
Step 2 - ASSEMBLE
Now, take your toothpick and start by putting a grape on the end, add a banana slice, then a strawberry, and finish with a little mini marshmallow for a hat, and you’ve got Santa Kabobs that look oh, so cute!
Continue until you have enough fruit kabobs.
Here’s how to make the Banana Santa Skewers:
Step 1 - PREP YOUR FRUIT & MARSHMALLOWS
First, peel the bananas and cut them into thirds. Next, cut the ends off of your strawberries. Now, cut the large marshmallow into thirds.
Step 2 - ASSEMBLE
Now, take your toothpick and insert it through the banana. Ensure that the stick goes all the way through, and there is room to add the remaining ingredients.
Next, place a cut piece of marshmallow, add a strawberry by running the toothpick through it, and top it with a mini marshmallow.
Add a set of candy eyes and a red candy mouth.
Enjoy!
PRO TIP: If you would like, add a little frosting or melted chocolate to secure the candy in place.
Erin
Continue making until you have enough.
PRO TIP: If you’re taking your kabobs to a party and don’t want the bananas to be brown, try putting a little fresh lemon juice on them.

How do you get the eyes and mouth to stick to the banana?
Erin Henry
A little melted chocolate works well to keep the eyes and mouth sticking to the banana.
Maddy
Don't leave lemon juice on bananas too long makes them slimey.
My kids loved making them. Healthy eating

This is such a cute idea! We like to do Christmas-themed treats on Thanksgiving to get the Christmas season coming. I recently got my carpets cleaned for the party but needed to find a cute fruit display. This is perfect. Thank you!

Can't wait to try for my Merry Friendsmas gathering coming up. I'll definitely have to put a little lemon juice to prevent bananas from browning. Do you squeeze fresh lemon juice & also, do they have a lemon taste from doing so ?
Erin Henry
Great question. Yes, just drizzle some lemon juice over them. You don't need too much to prevent browning, and you want to make sure they don't taste too much like lemon.
