Ingredient Notes and Substitutions
You only need 3 main ingredients and a garnish to create this mini brie appetizer!
- 12 frozen mini pre-baked phyllo cups - these are the crunchy cups the cheese and cranberry sauce sit in. You can usually find them in a freezer section of your grocery store. you can substitute the phyllo dough with puff pastry dough or crescent roll dough. Just cut squares in the dough that will fit in the muffin cups.
- 6 teaspoons triple cream brie - we prefer the creaminess of a triple cream brie, but whatever type of brie you use will be fine.
- 6 teaspoons homemade cranberry sauce - for the best flavor, we recommend homemade. Just don't use a jellied version.

How Long Does Brie Last?
When making just this recipe, you may have leftover brie cheese. If you want to save the rest, the best advice we can give is to use brie within 2-4 days if keeping it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If you want to keep it longer, you can place it in a sealed container and place it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
- All of the phyllo cups we found in the grocery store's frozen section were pre-baked, so they didn’t need additional time in the oven. If you find unbaked ones, follow the package instructions before placing your cheese and cranberry sauce inside and baking again.
- We love the fresh flavor of our homemade cranberry sauce, but if you’re rushed for time, you can use a store-bought variety and perk it up with orange zest and cinnamon.
- You can absolutely double the recipe depending on the size of the crowd you're feeding.
- Cranberry Brie Bites are best served warm right out of the oven.
