How to Make Easter Cookies in a Jar
We did something new this year. Since Target was out of Easter M&Ms the day we went (we know, totally strange), they did have strawberry shortcake ones, so we tried these instead, and the cookies came out smelling and tasting A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Plus, the pink and white candies make them all the more adorable! This time of year, you can get away with decorating and baking with pink - it's perfect! Regular M&Ms are great in this cookie-in-a-jar recipe, too.
Gather your ingredients, and let's get started.
Here are the layers you'll put into your jar:
Layer 1
1 ½ cups flour, ½ tsp. baking soda, ½ tsp. baking powder, ½ tsp. salt
Layer 2
½ cup brown sugar
Layer 3
½ granulated sugar
Layer 4
⅔ cup white chocolate chips or morsels
Layer 5
⅔ cup Easter M&Ms (any variety)
Once all the ingredients are in the jar, seal it and add a tag and the baking instructions. Your gift is done.
Tip: We like to make several jars at one time. This way, you always have a gift ready for whatever events you are attending. This is a wonderful spring cookie idea!
Tips for Making Easter Cookies in a Jar
- Please feel free to include whatever Easter candy that will bake well in cookies in this recipe.
- Use the jar of ingredients within a year of making.
- Read the instructions carefully to make sure you include all the ingredients.
How Long do Cookies in a Jar Last?
Since the ingredients in these cookies, like the flour and sugar, are non-perishable, they will probably last longer than if you kept them in their original bag. Therefore, we think your cookies in a jar will last about a year.
Well, if you can wait that long to make them!

These are amazing and I'm astounded at just how easy they are to make! I would totally be making these if I still had a kitchen! LOL. Right now my kitchen is a shell (literally!) because we are building a brand new one which I am SO excited about because it will be the first time in my adult life that I have a nice kitchen to work from! I'm totally pinning this for Christmas though because I'll just switch the Easter M&M's for green and red ones and WULLAH! #WAYWOW
