Ingredient Notes
This super easy holiday recipe requires five ingredients (we're counting the spices as one ingredient), so you don't need much in the way of kitchen skills to whip it together. A bowl and mixer will do the trick.
Cream Cheese - regular or low-fat cream cheese is ok to use, but remember to take it out of the refrigerator to soften before mixing it.
Eggnog - buy your favorite variety at the grocery store. Regular or low-fat varieties both work.
Vanilla - pure vanilla extract is best.
Cinnamon and Nutmeg - the best holiday spices!
Powdered Sugar - also called confectioner's sugar, is used to sweeten the dip.
Optionally, you can also add ½ tsp rum extract when you add the vanilla extract.
The complete ingredient list and instructions are in the printable recipe card below.
Dipping Ideas
You will also need something yummy to dip in your Eggnog Dip, so try the following:
Vanilla Wafer Cookies, Gingersnap Cookies, or Graham Crackers.

Can't wait to make this dip my family loves eggnog and I really think they are going to love. I ask can you use whipped cream cheese or does it have to be the block softened? Again will be making this for the Holidays because on Christmas Eve we like doing just light veggie, meat, and dessert trays make some candy and pop some popcorn and watch movies. Thank You I hope you and your family has a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Erin Henry
We have not tried using whipped cream cheese, but it will likely work. You may need to add a bit more because regular cream cheese is a bit denser. Enjoy and happy holidays to you!
