Easy Reindeer Craft
The holidays are around the corner, and the kids will need some DIY craft Ideas to keep them busy. We love this Reindeer Craft idea because it’s so easy; kids can almost make it independently.

Not only is it fun to see your Reindeer come to life, but your child will get to use their fine motor skills when painting and twisting the pipe cleaners into antlers.
Supplies Needed to Make a Reindeer Art Project
There are a few simple supplies required to make this Preschool Reindeer Craft. You may have them in your art supply bin or cupboard.
Because this project involves paint, we recommend putting down newspapers or using a surface that can clean easily.
- 4 large popsicle sticks
- 2 small popsicle sticks
- 2 clothespins
- brown craft paint
- brown pipe cleaners
- 2 googly eyes
- 1 red pom pom
Other Supplies
- black marker
- small paintbrush
- white glue
How to Make A Reindeer Craft for Kids
Gather your supplies, and let’s get holiday crafting.
STEP 1 - Line up the four large popsicle sticks. Trim the ends of the two small popsicle sticks and glue them to the large sticks' back to secure the large sticks in a line.
STEP 2 - Paint the large popsicle sticks and clothespins brown.
STEP 3 - When the paint is dry, attach the 2 clothespins to the top of the large popsicle sticks—one on each side, pointing upward.
Cut the brown pipe cleaners in half and wrap two pieces around each clothespin to make antlers.
STEP 4 - Next, glue the googly eyes and red pom pom to the front of the popsicle sticks to make a face.
STEP 5 - Finally, use a kid-safe black marker to draw a mouth on the Reindeer.
Notes on Making this Reindeer Craft
- Depending on how long your pipe cleaner is, you may need 1 or 2 to make your antlers.
- Any color of brown paint will work.
- If you don't have white glue, another type of adhesive you have on hand will be fine.
