Easy Rolo Pretzel Reindeer Candy
'Tis the season to be jolly, and these Reindeer Pretzels are just the thing to make your season deliciously bright! We love making Rolo Pretzel treats because they have all our favorites in one place—chocolate, gooey caramel, and salty pretzels.
You just need a bag of Rolo candies, mini pretzel twists, candy eyes, and red or brown candy noses.
Put these little salty and sweet candy reindeer on your holiday dessert table, and no one is going to be able to pass them up.
How cute is that Reindeer Face!
They would also be great for a cookie exchange.
Ingredients
You only need a few simple ingredients to make your Rolo pretzel recipe. Oh, how we love the chewy caramel and crunch pretzels together.
Mini Pretzel Twists - not regular-sized ones.
Rolo Candy - standard size.
Candy Eyes - a pair for each reindeer you want to make.
Candy Nose - you can use M&Ms or Sixlets for the reindeer noses. Red or brown candies work. (not everyone can be Rudolph! )
How to Make Pretzel Reindeer with Rolos
- PREHEAT - First, preheat your oven to 250 degrees F and line a baking pan with parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat.
- CUT PRETZELS - Cut your pretzel twist in half down the middle. Some will break in the process, but that's okay. Then you have some for snacking 🙂
- PLACE PRETZELS ON BAKING SHEET - Next, place whole pretzels with the salted side down on the baking sheet. The rounded edge will be the top.
- UNWRAP ROLOS - Now, unwrap your Rolo candies and place one on each of the pretzels.
- BAKE - Place the candies and pretzels in the oven until the chocolate softens but isn't totally melted about 1.5 - 2 minutes. It's essential to make sure they don't get too soft!!
- DECORATE - Begin decorating by inserting the antlers (pretzel halves with the broken side facing in) into the top of the Rolo candy. Next, place the candy nose towards the bottom of the Rolo Candy. Finally, place the candy eyes above the nose.
Tip: work fast before the chocolate hardens to decorate your cute little reindeer.
- Finally, Place your Christmas Pretzels in the freezer for 5-10 minutes or refrigerator for 15 - 30 minutes to cool and harden.
How to Store Rolo Pretzel Reindeer
Store your Reindeer Treats in an airtight container for a few days. They don't tend to freeze well.

Where do I Find Candy Eyes
Candy eyes are widely available nowadays. You can find them in the baking aisle at major retailers like Target and Walmart or your local grocery store. Candy eyes are also available for purchase on Amazon.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
- The trickiest part may be cutting the pretzels. We find it best to go easy and use a sharp knife for the best results. You’ll want a few extra pretzels in case some break in the process, but then you have a few to snack on!
- These little Candy Reindeer can be made a day or so ahead; store in an airtight container until ready to use.
- Make sure you watch your Rolos while in the oven to make sure they don't melt too much.
- Readers say 30 seconds in the microwave will also melt the Rolo candy. Try it and let us know!
