2-3tablespoonspure maple syrupdepending on sweetness preference
3tablespoonschia seeds

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the blackberries to a low boil on medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the berries soften, about 5 minutes. Don't overcook it. Leave some berries in chunks for texture.
Stir in the maple syrup, lemon juice, and chia seeds. Cook jam on low until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes more. Continue to stir the jam while it thickens.
Remove the jam from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let jam cool to room temperature.
Transfer mixture to an airtight container, such as a mason jar, and keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
