2poundsboneless skinless chicken thighstrim off excess fat if desired
1ouncepacket ranch seasoning mixor make your own
16ouncescream cheese2 packages
1teaspoongarlic powderoptional
8slicesbaconcooked and crumbled
1 ½cupsshredded cheddar cheese
½cupsliced green onions

Instructions
Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot. Sprinkle chicken with ranch seasoning mix. Place the cream cheese on top of the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time. 3-4 hours on high.
Shred the chicken. You can do this right in the crockpot with 2 forks or take it out and shred it on a cutting board. Stir the cream cheese into the shredded chicken and also stir in the bacon. Spread the chicken out into an even layer and top with shredded cheese. Cover for 10 more minutes to allow the cheese to melt. Stir, serve and enjoy!

Chicken thighs or chicken breast meat can be used.
You can use a prepackaged ranch seasoning mix or make your own ranch seasoning.
We use a 6-quart crockpot to cook the recipe.
There will be lots of liquid once the chicken is done cooking. After the chicken is shredded, the dish will thicken up perfectly.
