Instructions
Line a 9x12 baking sheet with aluminum foil and set it aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt your semi-sweet chocolate according to the package instructions. We do this at 50% power in the microwave in a glass bowl, stirring between 30-second intervals, and it works perfectly. You may also use a double-boiler.
Pour the chocolate into your prepared pan and spread it around with a spoon or spatula. Place it in the refrigerator to harden slightly while you prepare your white chocolate. It does not need to be completely firm.
Melt your white chocolate with whatever method you used to melt your dark chocolate. (Stovetop in a double boiler or microwave.)
Pour and spread the white chocolate over your chilled dark chocolate.
THIS IS AN OPTIONAL STEP. Melt your colored candy melts with whatever method you used to melt your dark chocolate. (Stovetop in a double boiler or microwave.) Place dollops of prink or red candy melts over the white chocolate and swirl it around with the tip of a butter knife or toothpick into a fun pattern.
Add your candy and sprinkles to the top of your bark; make sure they are evenly disturbed. Now, press them in slightly to make sure they are secure in the chocolate.
Let the bark harden for a 30-minutes to 2-hours. We like to place it in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Break your bark into pieces or if you want even pieces, cut it with a knife. Enjoy!

Notes
Because they contain additives, chocolate chips aren’t the best choice for melting and using in this recipe. Try candy melts, melting wafers, or high-quality chocolate bars.
Work quickly to place your candies and sprinkles on your chocolate Valentine's Day Bark once you spread the white chocolate in the pan—it hardens quickly.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks. Nutritional information is approximate and was calculated using a recipe nutrition label generator. It does not include the optional swirl of colored candy melts.
